MyO unleashes IBM i Data, providing real-time access across the entire sales force

Italian office solutions provider MyO S.p.A. wanted to streamline sales force access to its vast range of office products and services by implementing a new NoSQL database that would serve as a highly responsive front end for enterprise-wide data needs.
Modernizing data access: real-time synchronization with MOLO17 Gluesync
MyO faced a significant challenge: for security and scalability reasons, their IBM i system needed isolation from both direct access by external users and excessive workloads from multiple applications. The company needed to offload IBM Db2 to Couchbase, a NoSQL document database, to create an operational datastore serving mobile external users while maintaining the integrity of the core system.
The technical team at MyO was looking for a Change Data Capture solution that would support Couchbase NoSQL database, provide faster support for replications from IBM i compared to their existing solution, support additional pre-built connectors for databases like MySQL, Oracle and MS SQL Server and offer the capability to model data into nested JSON objects.
After an extensive period of evaluation and benchmark testing, where the MyO team challenged every feature of the platform, Gluesync was selected not only for meeting all project target objectives but also to replace their existing replication solution.
