Gluesync 2.1.7 released: Conductor brings agent orchestration and new Kubernetes support

Gluesync Conductor: automated agent orchestration for Docker environments

The highlight of this release is undoubtedly Gluesync Conductor, a new module designed to simplify how users deploy, manage and update Gluesync agents within containerized environments.
Conductor acts as an orchestration layer for Gluesync, providing a RESTful API and deep integration with the Core Hub UI.

With Conductor, Docker-based deployments gain a smarter, automated way to operate:

• add new agents directly from the UI, no manual YAML or Compose edits required.
• monitor container lifecycles and status in real-time.
• leverage automatic version tracking and updates.
• maintain consistent and centralized configuration for multiple agents.

Built with Node.js, Conductor introduces a modern container management layer that connects seamlessly to your Docker infrastructure and Gluesync Control Plane.

At launch, Conductor is available for Linux users and will later extend to Windows environments.

Add agents directly from the Gluesync UI

For the first time, users can add new source or target agents directly from the Gluesync Web Interface.
Thanks to the integration between Conductor and the Core Hub, deploying a new agent no longer requires manual command-line operations. Instead, you can launch the process through the pipeline creation wizard:

1. Open your pipeline’s setup wizard from the Core Hub UI.
2. Click Add Agent to start the deployment flow.
3. Select the desired source or target agent from the list.
4. Configure resources (CPU, RAM, SSL options).
5. Click Verify & Proceed and within seconds, your new agent is deployed.

This feature simplifies the setup time for new pipelines, helping teams focus on configuration and data flow rather than container management.

Revamped Kubernetes support

Gluesync 2.1.7 also introduces a major overhaul of the Kubernetes deployment model.
The new Helm charts have been completely reworked and now support a richer and more standardized deployment experience out of the box.

Highlighted improvements include:

• Built-in support for proxy, Chronos Scheduler, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Compatibility with GKE, EKS and AKS environments

Enhanced Docker Compose kits

They now include Portainer exposed on port 9443, along with monitoring tools accessible through dedicated endpoints: Grafana available at /grafana and Prometheus at /prometheus.

For Linux users, Conductor comes bundled by default with the kits, providing immediate access to the new orchestration capabilities without requiring additional installations.
