Proactive resilience: introducing Gluesync’s Automatic Anomaly Detection

In the world of real-time data integration, “zero downtime” isn’t just a goal, it’s a requirement. Today, we are excited to introduce a new service built around Gluesync designed to transform how infrastructure anomalies are handled: the Automatic Anomaly Detection system.
This service shifts the paradigm from reactive troubleshooting to proactive resolution. As a result, our system identifies and addresses potential issues before they impact your business operations.
How it works: the power of telemetry
The core of this new service is the Remote Logs Collection (Telemetry). By enabling this feature, Gluesync instances can securely transmit log data to MOLO17’s monitoring infrastructure.
This telemetry is strictly limited to non-sensitive information: it collects only error logs and technical metadata, ensuring that no business data or sensitive content ever leaves your perimeter.
From detection to automatic support
Once telemetry is enabled, our dedicated software engine takes over:
- Anomaly analysis & classification: the system continuously analyzes log streams to identify and classify patterns of failure or performance degradation.
- Pattern recognition: by cross-referencing technical logs with our support database, we can identify known issues and accelerate the resolution process
- Automated ticketing:if an error state lasts for more than 2 hours, the system automatically opens a support ticket.
- Direct user notification: the system alerts our support team immediately. In addition, we proactively inform you about the error and our steps to resolve it.
Privacy by design, support by default
We want to emphasize that this service is completely free of charge for all users who opt-in to telemetry. It is a collaborative approach to reliability: you provide the technical logs and we provide the peace of mind that comes with 24/7 automated monitoring.
We disable the remote-logs feature by default. However, you can enable it directly through the Gluesync Web Interface by toggling the Telemetry option to start secure log collection.
Streamlining incident management through automation
The primary goal of the Automatic Anomaly Detection system is to bridge the gap between an error’s occurrence and its resolution. By providing an automated link between a Gluesync instance and MOLO17 Support, the service eliminates the need for manual reporting of infrastructure issues.
Persistent anomalies include configuration errors or connectivity issues lasting over 2 hours. When these occur, the system sends the necessary technical context directly to our support team. Consequently, our team begins diagnostics immediately using the specific error logs and classifications from the telemetry stream.
Implementation and security
TWe offer this service to all users who opt in to remote log collection. Following our privacy-first approach, the telemetry system is strictly limited to technical data:
- Non-sensitive data: we collect only error logs and technical metadata. The system never transmits business data or sensitive content.
- Secure transmission: Gluesync sends logs via an encrypted TLS connection to MOLO17’s monitoring endpoint (Logstash), ensuring data integrity and security during transit.
- Easy activation: you can enable telemetry directly from the Gluesync Web Interface in the dedicated Telemetry section. This allows you to activate the service with a single toggle without manual configuration overhead.
