Amazon RedShift target agent: high-performance cloud data warehousing with Gluesync

High-throughput ingestion via AWS S3

To ensure optimal throughput, the Gluesync RedShift agent employs a high-performance bulk loading architecture leveraging AWS S3.

During snapshot and CDC batch ingestion, the agent uploads data as CSV files into an S3 staging bucket. It then triggers RedShift’s native COPY command to perform parallel ingestion directly into the target tables. This staging-table workflow guarantees maximum efficiency and speed, even when handling massive datasets.

• Automated TRUNCATE support: fully compatible with Gluesync’s “TRUNCATE before snapshot” feature, utilizing native RedShift SQL commands to prepare tables before initial loads.
